Eric, I'm assuming because you've had the Arcam for awhile that it has a Burr Brown DAC as opposed to the Wolfson. When I listened to the new Cambridge player a few months back I compared it to a Burr Brown Arcam CD72 and found the Arcam quite harsh and edgy in comparison.
